An allotment in Upper Clapton is the setting for Ben and Elsa’s musings on urban living, childhood and families and why their connection to the earth provides them with such an escape. In between the tower blocks and the drone of buses off Upper Clapton Road, Ben and Elsa tend their plots lovingly; watching the seasons change, fighting the slugs and collecting the fruits of their labour.
