Sara’s recollections of childhood on Reunion Island lead her to reflect upon that central figure in her, and most people’s lives – her mum. Sara takes us on a personal journey, introducing father and daughter George and Jenny along the way, who let her into their own thoughts and recollections of three generations of parenting and child-raising. Together they form a portrait of what it is to grow up as a family in the east end of London.
