In African Woman, we meet Fatmatta who came to London from Sierra Leone. Around her wrist, Fatmatta wears a bracelet of gold beads, a small reminder of home and of the colourful style of dress that is prevalent in her mother country. African Woman explores the cultural differences between here and her country through the way in which women dress.
