Agewell in Hackney is an Age Concern Hackney project, funded mainly by the City & Hackney Primary Care Trust. It provides health and wellbeing services to Hackney residents in the pre-retirement 50-65 age range. Agewell in Hackney offers a wide range of activities to suit the needs of Hackney’s diverse population, taking into account varying individual needs from employment to healthy eating, and taking a holistic approach to help improve the health and well-being of ‘mid-life’ residents. The methods are informal and is free of charge. The Agewell Computer Club is one of these activities, focussing on digital media and technology in general, using the facilities at the Hackney Silver Surfers centre.
